Interview with Mr. Lionel DALLA SERRA, Plant manager of HARRY'S FRANCE in Saint-Vulbas.

How did HARRY'S FRANCE set up in the Industrial Park of Plaine de l'Ain?
HARRY'S group had been looking for a site near Lyon for its new production plant for bread and Viennese pastries. It had to allow optimising the logistics and the distribution of our products in the Northeast and Southeast of France.
The strategic location of the Plaine de l'Ain located us at about 30 minute from Lyon by A42 motorway and positioned us at an equal distance from towns like Strasbourg and Nice.
We had visited beforehand five potential setting up sites. Plaine de l'Ain was the only site, which guaranteed us an important land in reserve and the possibilities for long-term expansion. Moreover, the possibility to provide treatment of our flows using the biological purification station of the Park was a very important element for us. In addition the integration of our production plant in the natural environment was on the same wavelength as the food-processing industry.

What was the assistance provided by the Mixed Syndicate of Plaine de l'Ain concerning your setting up file? L'accompagnement du Parc Industriel de The assistance of the Plaine de l'Ain Industrial Park involved a close partnership in keeping to the working schedule concerning the establishment of all the links and connections to the local infrastructures. Plaine de l'Ain team was in charge of all the landscape aspect in close collaboration with an architect-colourist and a landscape gardener in order to make attractive our plant and to fit it better in the surrounding natural environment.
Their actions with ANPE job centre and the Temporary work agencies, presented on the site, made easier the recruitment of our staff.
